Describe the book and why you like it: Jane and Oliver’s mother agreed that Oliver would drive Jane to school every morning. The drives there are awkward, to say the least, but after a while, things look hopeful because Oliver creates a game for them. Everytime Jane wins she adds a song to their playlist, and when Oliver wins, he does the same. A great book full of twists you don’t see coming. An amazing summer read!!!

Describe the book and why you like it: Bailey lives with her mom and stepdad in new Jersey. She went with them after her parents split. She’s really into old movies and vintage clothes, that’s how she meets Alex. Her and Alex talk online, and it started with their love of old films. Alex lives in the same town as her father does, so when she moves over, she tries finding him. In the process of this, she meets Porter Roth; he’s full of himself and handsome. The tricky thing is they hate each other. Great plot, wonderful writing. This book with definitely keep you on your toes.

Title: The Truth About us

Author: Janet Gurtler

The number of stars you give it:

Describe the book and why you like it: Jess’s family is the pure definition of “screwed up.” But after a mistake on Jess’s part, she ends up working at a “shelter” for the homeless. It’s there that she meets Flynn. Flynn, in Jess’s dad’s eyes, is a definitely from the “wrong” side of the tracks, but she doesn’t care. They didn’t expect it to happen, but it did. This book does a great way of showing the real truth behind being “rich” and being “poor,” while still throwing twists at you.

Title: Jesse’s Girl

Author: Miranda Kenneally

The number of stars you give it:

Describe the book and why you liked it: Maya and everyone else in Hundred Oaks High School don’t take career day seriously. So when she says she wants to be a musician and they tell her she’s shadowing Jesse Scott, she’s incredulous. It’s all charm at first, but once he’s offstage, his real figure comes to light.

Another great book by Kenneally. She has a great way with words and makes it impossible to put it down.
