Friends of the Library

What Do the Friends Do?

By supporting the Library and its programs, Friends fill a vital need in our community. They help bring “the extras” to town: special events and exhibits, book sales, music programs and a variety of education and recreational programs.

Friends are volunteers and supporters who are asked to do only as much as they feel comfortable in doing. Some Friends’ contributions simply are membership dues, while others volunteer time and talent for projects.
Friends work with the Library Director to achieve mutual goals. They serve in a variety of capacities as fund-raisers, tour guides, decorators, hosts and hostesses, and program sponsors. In addition, Friends can represent a library lover’s point of view to legislators.

Most importantly, Friends offer input to ensure the Library, its board and its staff continue the traditions that have made the London Public Library great! Why not join us in a great organization?

Please complete the information below.  If you wish to apply for a membership for yourself type in your address, city, state, and etc. in the appropriate spaces below.  We will contact you by phone or e-mail to confirm your application.

If you wish to give a gift membership, check the Gift Membership box and submit Your Name, Recipient of Gift's name (R), the recipient's address, city, state, and etc. in the appropriate spaces below.  We will then notify them by mail of your generous gift.

Your tax-deductible membership is based on a calendar year.  Check the type of membership you desire.

  Individual     $10.00   Couple     $15.00

Special events Volunteer at the Library
Book Sales Outreach delivery to seniors
Mailings Internet coaching of beginners

Serve on Friends Board I cannot participate in any activities at this time.

Payment option:

Print out your confirmation page once you hit the "Submit" button and mail a copy to the Library with your check or you can just stop in the Library and pay it at any time.  The membership will become active once the payment is received.
